At Joyful Academy of Music, we believe learning piano should be fun, creative, and joyfilled for every student!
We teach students ages 3 to adults! Whether your child is just beginning the piano, you are an adult rediscovering your love of music, or you are ready to progress faster through our Accelerated Piano Program, you will find joyful learning and individualized instruction at every level.
Piano Lessons for Kids
Our unique approach to piano lessons combines individual instruction with the energy and encouragement of a shared studio setting. Each student works independently at their own piano, following a personalized lesson plan designed just for them. We specialize in game based learning to help each student grow and reach their full potential. Teachers provide one-on-one guidance throughout each lesson, creating a learning environment that is both focused and inspiring!

Learning to play the piano should be fun for students, and easy for parents. Many parents worry that piano lessons will become stressful or that practice will turn into a chore. But at Joyful Academy of Music in Everett, WA, we have created a joyful learning experience where students are excited to learn and eager to practice! Our approach turns piano practice into something kids want to do. And parents love hearing the beautiful music filling their homes.

Piano Lessons Everyone Loves
How Piano Lessons Work:
​Students, especially beginners, learn their music during lessons, so they never go home confused or frustrated. Practice time becomes a chance to “show off” what they have learned. This boosts their confidence and joy!
From the very first lesson, students develop sight reading, rhythm, and musical independence. Students stay motivated because they can see and hear their progress right away!
Music theory is taught through interactive games and hands-on activities. We want to help students learn in a natural, engaging way. Within just a few months, students can play familiar songs (movie themes, hymns, and pop favorites). Parents often tell us their kids are excited to play the piano and look forward to their weekly lessons!
Piano Lessons
for Adults
At Joyful Academy of Music, teen and adult students explore the piano in creative, real-world ways.
Your lessons may include learning how to:

Play with chords and lead sheets

Improvise and write your own music

Accompany singers or play with your school jazz band or at church

Perform confidently for friends, family, and community events.
Advancing students also have opportunities to play for visiting Master Teachers for personalized inspiration and feedback, and to participate in music festivals and competitions.
